What is a USB Switch?

USB is an acronym for Universal Serial Bus. A USB switch is a switching device that uses a USB connection. At Herga we offer USB hand control switches and USB footswitches.

USB switches are just one of the connection types we offer here at Herga. We also offer, Bluetooth, Infrared, and pneumatic.

Our USB switches are compatible with operating systems Windows, Linux and Mac.  

USB Footswitches

Our USB footswitches use plug and play technology, so no additional drivers are required.

Programming can be done 2 ways depending on the footswitch model and IP rating.

Waterproof versions and the single pedal 6225 must be programmed during the production stage and are not changeable.

Multi pedals and other IPX2 models can have DIP switches for the user to change the pedal emulation.

The key programming combinations are shown in our user guides which can be downloaded from our website.

USB footswitches can be programmed by the user to emulate up to three simultaneous functions. Key combinations for programming can be found in our installation guides.

USB footswitches can be used in applications including image capture. They are used to take an x-ray or photo. Using a footswitch for this gives the user full use of both hands during the process.

USB Hand Controls

Our USB hand control switches can emulate single or multiple keyboard functions. They also use plug and play technology and are easily programmed.
