We have a range of wireless footswitches which use a Bluetooth smart closed network. They are available as either single or multi-pedal wireless footswitches.

What is a Wireless Footswitch?

A wireless footswitch operates a device without the use of a wired connection, this enables the user to operate a machine or device without being close by. A wireless footswitch is useful in medical applications as well as some OEM and industrial environments.

Because our wireless footswitches use Bluetooth technology, they use a footswitch and a receiver. The receiver is connected to the device and detects when the switch is operated. Our wireless footswitches have a 10 meter range. 

Why use a Wireless Footswitch?

You might choose to use a wireless footswitch for various reasons. The main reasons are;

Flexibility - as there are no wires, the footswitch can be moved to another location to operate the device with ease, as long as it is in the same room and within range, the footswitch will still operate the device. 

Distance and response time – the user can be up to 10meters away from the machine or device. Despite this distance, the response time is still quick - less than 100 milliseconds from compression of the switch to function required. The LED assisted pairing procedure allows for straightforward, easy set up for your application. 

Tidiness - the working area is often less cluttered as there are no wires. It also removes trip hazards in the workplace as there are no wires on the floor.

Wireless Footswitch Applications 

Wireless footswitches can be used within any industry however, we have found that the most popular industries for our Bluetooth footswitches are the medical industry and OEM electrical equipment as well as other similar applications.
