What is an Air Operated Foot Switch?

An air operated foot Switch is operated using a “sip” or “puff” of air. So when the foot switch is compressed, a small puff of air is sent down some pvc tubing to an air switch which is then activated. 

What is an Air Operated Switch Used For? 

Because they use air for operation and not electricity, this type of foot switch can be used within wet environments with no risk to the user. They are suitable for use in applications like dosing, pressing, drilling or punching. One of the benefits of using a foot switch for your application is that it offers hands free operation allowing the user the ability to multitask.

6210 - OB – A Plastic footswitch which is ergonomic and versatile with an optional guard.

6254-OB – A Die cast footswitch with a low profile design for user comfort. It’s an ideal choice for harsh environments because it’s very durable.
